Design Student Chapter

Jessica D. Shepard was born in the Northern suburbs of Chicago and raised in Sun Valley, Idaho. She and her family moved back to Illinois where she attended and graduated from Lake Forest High School. Jessica went on to graduate from Augustana College with a BA in Studio Art and a specialization in Photo-Naturalistic Charcoal Portraiture.

Currently, she is a senior at the Harrington College of Design pursuing a BFA in Interior Design with specializations in Hospitality and Sustainability. She strives to incorporate the biophilia hypothesis, in which a well-designed environment enhances the user’s overall wellbeing, within all aspects of design. In the future,

Jessica hopes to work for a hospitality firm and eventually a design magazine. She enjoys snowboarding, playing coed softball, exploring the city of Chicago, and spending time with her friends and younger siblings.
